Here is my half-assed attempt to describing trip with Temych, when he come to see me in France. More specifically, this is after we met a couple of girls on the train to Marseille, (we left them on the train unfortunately), but I wrote this up because they asked me to.

Then it was just another normal day. A full day of touring in Marseille on no sleep. Oh actually, we got our car and then slept in it like two Russians in France.
Next couple of days were awesome, where we started riding around south of France and stopping in some towns. Craziest moment for me... I was learning to drive standard, so I wasn't too confident. At one point I asked my friend, "Hey, let me drive. These roads shouldn't be too bad." It was getting darker:) So here I am, already uncomfortable in my own skin, responsible for two lives, barely managing to shift gears, when we leave the city. Who knew that France, being a developed country, didn't just not want to invest in lighting the roads much further than major cities, but didn't even paint lines on the roads...going up and down the mountains. I am steering and driving down a side of a mountain at night; on the left a rock face that's aching to taste the crumpled metal of our car; on the right, somewhere, the edge of the road further than which there's a chance to experience some freefalling for a couple of seconds. Of course all of these with some other cars around me with angry French drivers (I imagine, cuz the ones who live in the mountains would always complain about those who don't about their driving abilities) In other words, good times.
After getting to Saint Tropez, we drove into the beach parking lot, and because it was late at night, we didn't pay, which is most of the cost. Slept there till morning, and then a wicked day at the beach. Another funny story: in the evening we went to this, what looked to be high class, club. Bouncer said "Sorry, we're full."Hey, we're Russian. Straight from Moscow. Just landed." "Please come in."
After that there were a whole bunch of other things - we went to Russia together.
